You take a photo of tonight’s homework (the planner line, the spelling list or the lesson), and Kamelo turns it into about ten minutes of practice on exactly that, with a small chameleon who changes color with the subject. You check everything before your child sees it.

No, never. Kamelo has your child practice what the teacher assigned: it reads spelling words aloud, asks math facts, helps them learn a poem. It never hands over ready-made answers: the right answer only appears after your child has tried.

No. The AI only reads the photo, on the parent’s side. Kamelo, the character, only says lines written in advance, and your child never types anything to an AI.

It’s an “almost,” never red. Kamelo encourages them, shows the right answer, and the item comes back a little later in the session.

About ten minutes a night, on homework your child has to do anyway. No timer by default, no ads, no endless feed, and spelling practice happens on paper. After 8:30 pm, Kamelo goes to sleep.

Yes: color drops to spend on Kamelo’s colors, patterns and accessories, and stickers to collect. Nothing is bought with real money, and a day without practice is never shown as a loss.

No. No ads, no purchases and no links out of the app. All of that lives in the parent space, behind your parent code.

Once you’ve approved today’s homework, yes: they find it waiting in the child space. They can also practice other lists from “Practice something else,” without a new photo.

It’s cropped on your phone and the name is masked, then it’s read by the AI and deleted from our servers within 24 hours. Only the exercise you confirmed is kept.

Yes, that’s what it’s built for, but hard-to-read handwriting can be misread. That’s why you always see what Kamelo understood, with the uncertain parts highlighted, before you confirm.

Yes. Before any photo is read, the US version of the app gives you a notice and asks for your verifiable consent as the parent, as COPPA, the US children’s privacy law, provides. You can withdraw it at any time in Settings › Privacy.

Yes. Type the homework in by hand: typing-in is never limited, and it works even if you decline to have photos read.

The 7-day trial starts when you choose the annual plan. Cancel at least 24 hours before it ends and you won’t be charged. The App Store or Google Play handles payment and cancellation.

Photo scans are unlimited with Premium, up to 15 a day and 100 a month, well beyond a family’s homework.

There’s no direct connection. You can photograph the planner or import a screenshot from the school’s app or website.
