I forgot my parent code
On the code screen, tap the link for a forgotten code. A quick adult check (a multiplication to type in) lets you choose a new code. After three wrong tries, you’ll need to wait 30 seconds.
Kamelo misread the photo
On the checking screen, tap the word to fix it, or delete the exercise. If the handwriting is really hard to read, retake the photo flat and in good light, one page at a time, or type the list in by hand. You can also report the result from that screen, which sends it to us so we can look into it.
Out of photo scans?
The free plan includes three photo scans in the first 14 days, then one a month. The screen tells you when your next scan will be available. Meanwhile, typing in by hand and replaying exercises you’ve already created stay unlimited. Kamelo Premium allows unlimited photo scans, within fair use (15 a day, 100 a month).
Manage or cancel your subscription
Your subscription is managed where you bought it:
- iPhone and iPad: Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Kamelo;
- Android: Google Play › your profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › Kamelo.
Kamelo’s parent space also has a link to manage or cancel your subscription. For a refund, contact Apple or Google, who process the payment.
Restore a purchase
In the parent space, go to Subscription › Restore purchases. Use the same Apple Account or Google account you bought with.
Delete or export your data
In the parent space, go to Settings › Privacy: you can export your family’s data, delete a child’s profile or delete the whole account. You can also write to us and we’ll do it for you. How long we keep each kind of data is explained in the privacy policy.
The voice sounds robotic
Kamelo currently uses your phone’s built-in voices. On iPhone, you can download an Enhanced voice: Settings › Accessibility › Spoken Content › Voices › English. On Android: Settings › Accessibility › Text-to-speech output (the path can vary by phone). A step-by-step guide is in Kamelo’s settings.
Kamelo doesn’t know this homework yet
Homework Kamelo doesn’t recognize becomes a checklist item. You can send it to us from the app, with your consent for that request: that’s how we teach Kamelo new exercises. The photo from such a request is kept for 30 days, then deleted.
